Carolina Chaves Urruzmendi was born in the United States but was raised in Uruguay. She studied Art History and Journalism at Georgia State University and graduated from the Portfolio Center of Atlanta, Georgia in 2002. She has since acquired an impressive list of clients for whom she has produced a diversified collection of works. She currently resides in San Francisco.
